My mom recently celebrated her 70th birthday! In my mind, any birthday ending in “0” deserves to be a celebrated on a large scale!
The invitation had hot pink roses (not tulips!) on it so that set the color scheme and theme.
Since my mom lives in Dallas and I live on the East Coast, I worked with Jessica, the special events planner at The Mansion on Turtle Creek, to put together the perfect luncheon. The Mansion was the “go to” place when I was growing up for special occasions, and I was thrilled (with my brother’s help) to be able to treat my mom and her friends.
Here is my mom, Mildred (in the white jacket – doesn’t she look amazing?!!) with her childhood friend, Clydell, who flew up from Corpus Christi for the party.
Happy Birthday Mildred, your Mother looks splendid and I can see that you have excellent genes for look pretty and pink!
Lovely celebration!
