Recently, I was in Greenwich, CT and stopped into SM Home, to see what new things had come in for Spring. To my delight, Laird Morgan (daughter of founder and owner, Sandra Morgan) was there and showed me some of their newest acquisitions.
The shop is always evolving, as vignettes are created and moved around. When you first walk in, here is some of what you will see:
This fabulous new painting from artist, Cathy Lancaster, would look great in an any style home. ( A certain NY Giants quarterback recently purchased one of her works while in Memphis!) The lime green ginger jars are a fun update for Spring. Diane James flowers make it look as if you have fresh flowers all year long.
I love this bamboo inspired wall paper (in a dining room or powder bath) as a backdrop to the soothing painting and robin’s egg blue porcelain.
In one downstairs room, you’ll see more traditional blue and white mixed in with contemporary and antique accents.
In yet another room, shades of turquoise and lime take center stage.
If I had to pick one favorite new item, it’s the Oomph side table.
YOU can customize the table color (think lacquer blue, white, hot pink) and the inset (raffia, zebra print, snakeskin or colored glass). Call or email SM Home for pricing.
Here you can see it’s proportions.
If you’re in Greenwich, Friday, May 7th or Saturday, May 8th stop in to see a special showing and sale of Vintage and Antique bags ~ just in time for Mother’s Day.
Don’t forget if you just need a second set of eyes for a consultation on paint colors, furniture placement, etc…Sandy is available by the hour.
What are you updating your home with to make it feel like Spring?
xo, Elizabeth
Sandra and Laird are such classy ladies! Each time I step into that shop, I just want to add something to "zest" up and freshen up my home. Those little vases, or those coffee tables, a book – all add "ooomph" to any setting.
I love pretty things.

Pink and Tulips are two things that inspire me so I just have to follow your blog (which I found through Eddie Ross)!
