Here’s a closer look at the room of my youngest ~ who loves….you guessed it…blue!
The greek key patterned rug balances out the blue, upholstered bed, piped in white. The oversize houndstooth roll pillows give it a bit of punch. By now you’re not surprised to see monogram linens ~ these done by Julia B. in Greenwich (where are you, Julia B?), who has since closed her darling shop.
Though not easily discerned from the above photo, the ceiling light (which is identical to the one in my other son’s room) is painted a bright blue. The dresser with mirror was in my childhood room and my mother’s childhood room ~ and though great storage now will probably be updated in the coming years.
The ceiling is painted Benjamin Moore‘s “Yarmouth Blue”, while the walls are “Navajo White”.
For some color and some whimsy, notice the “portrait” on the wall reflects the 2 monkeys on the bed.
