Two boys in a boat!
A few years ago, our little family enjoyed one of the most beautiful vacation spots I’ve ever been – St. Barths. The beaches….the people….the vibe….it was just “beyond”! And with only boys in my life, fashion moments are few. So, yes, I did trot my fellas out in the matching Vilebrequin swimsuits.
And between the memories of the beach, my boys (big and small) all dressed alike and the pure exquisite quality of those little suits….I just couldn’t bear to pass them on, as I do most all their other clothes.
Inspired by two of the most creative minds today, Darcy Miller & Eddie Ross, I decided to keep and admire them for years to come.
Do you have a piece of clothing or an object that evokes such wonderful memories that you can’t let it go?
xo, Elizabeth
The picture of your boys is so cute…that could be an ad campaign for Vilebrequins! xx
What is it about children's bathing suits that is so hard to resist? Those look great framed and what a wonderful keepsake!
My husband's Aunt June knits beautiful sweaters for every new baby in the family…that is what I have framed and my daughter's first Easter Dress (2 days after she was born) still hangs on a tiny hanger on the front of her closet door.
This is a crazy coincidence! But too long for a comment…looking for your email address!
🙂
Love the shadowboxed trunk! Wish I were on a beach right now!
Jaithan
Tide Pull….~ thank you! 🙂
Alexis ~ love the vision of the sweater and your daughter's tiny dress
Sue~ which one did you frame?
Jaithan~ let's run away and get some sun!
Elizabeth, I love this idea! Vilebrequin swimsuits are so fun and framing it was such a great idea to keep the memory of your beach trip for years to come.
XO, Karen
Thanks, Karen! I love the idea of framing anything that's special —- I have birth announcements from the early 1900s to my great grandmother framed and these amazing letters to and from Neiman Marcus that I will have to post sometime. xoxo
adorable! I have two of my dad's baby clothes from the 1930's shawdowboxed framed on linen in gold frames and it is so pretty. It was in my son's nurseries, I have no idea where it is now? Love the swim shorts though!
Cashon – so funny, I have several things from the early 1900s, 1950s, etc…that are framed. All family items – which makes them so special.
What a beautiful articles, I like it very much. Please keep us informed like this. Thanks for sharing.
