Foo dogs flank the front door – no growl here – just a warm welcome!
Let’s make a left turn into the living room. A girl after my own heart….there’s a little cream, pink and chocolate brown in this room. Working with HB Home, Stephanie has taken a new construction home and given it the feel of a house with a history.
Melding sophistication and glamour, these chairs say, “come sit by the fireplace”, while the pink & white snakeskin pillows, say “i’ll have another glass of champagne”!
Everyone who sees these pillows, LOVES THEM. Including me!
The Chinese Empress print above was bought at auction in San Francisco. There’s a matching Emporer….but Stephanie is still looking for a home for him.
Stephanie had the doors mirrored…reflecting great taste and opening up the room.
Three (love the odd number) oversized intaglios lend elegance without taking away from everything else in the room.
Across the center hall colonial is the dining room. The sconces and chandelier were family pieces.
Old and new and something blue. The portrait is Stephanie’s grandmother — the lamps are new — the coral is, well…..blue!
Stephanie wanted me to include this as a “before” because I’ve promised to come do her cabinets for the holidays — later in the year.
Her kitchen has all the modern touches…stainless appliances, large open workspace…and a marble island. The Statuary marble on the island was her update…and today she’ll be updating the countertops with it, as well!
Everything really pops now that she had the hardwoods redone — in a darker finish. Love the high contrast.
You can see it for yourself one day…..just sign up for her Flowers 101 Class!
Wouldn’t that be fun?
xo,
Elizabeth
Stephanie has a very beautiful home. Lots of attention to detail, and her perfect detail is the gorgeous flower arrangements she has sprinkled through-out. This was a treat.
Gorgeous! I see a few changes since I was there. You missed "my room"…love her guest room it is better than staying at the Ritz!
Stephanie has such great taste for her home. Her mother and grandmother had a flair for it too. The best part about Stephanie's home is everyone feels so comfortable.
Gorgeous! Stephanie's home oozes charm and sophistication…I adore this house! Flowers 101 here I come!
Lovely. Classic. Sophisticated, yet warm! Loved it! xx Suzanne
So glad Stephanie opened her home to your followers. I just love the antique leaning mirrors.

Mona – aren't those arrangements beauty in and of themselves! Bet you can guess my favorite!
Alexis – the best part about living out of town is that you get to enjoy her hospitality to the 9s!!
Zhush – definitely — the class is amazing!
Thanks, Privet & Holly for dropping by!
Izzy – me, too!
Marija – I think you need to make an East Coast visit!
La Dolfina – I love the intaglios too. Wish my close up of them came out better – too much glare!

Flowers 101…I want to take the course! I love pulling floral arrangements together! As for your comment on my post, I am not crafty (at all), but rather have an artistic flair…you should try the trim on your son's lampshades…less glue is more (to keep in mind.) Also, I added you to my list of blogs I read!
i am in LOVE with that living room. the shimmering grass cloth walls and the pink accents and of course the chinese empreror art! it's all wonderful! thanks for sharing!!!
