Just back tonight from the bucolic town of Hudson, NY. Where the pages of 1st Dibs come to life, as you walk a 5 block stretch filled with 65 antique stores and galleries.
We stayed at the Inn at Hudson, circa 1906, which is run by 2 fascinating gentlemen — read more about them and this historic home in The New York Times.
Here’s the room I stayed in. LOVE.
I’ll be back next week with more details on the amazingly talented men that we had the pleasure of spending time with — Colin, Nigel, Frank and Phillip — here.
Gentlemen….it was a pleasure!!
Have you taken a really fun road trip lately?
xo, Elizabeth
I love this bucolic and verdant paradise along the Hudson. There is something so special about this area that drew me here. We love visiting that area – the people keep drawing us back. Now we have to add those people to our list. Thanks for sharing.

That inn looks lovely! Can't wait to read more.
And I just received my signed copy of The Stylish Girl's Guide to Fabulous Cocktails from you. Aaaahh!!! I've NEVER won anything from a blog, so receiving your package was particularly exciting. Not to mention your sweet card and cute packaging.
Thank you so much,
Jess
PS- Love your blog and your new look!
I would go on this trip for the room alone! Sounds fabulous!!!
oh my gosh – we just went there last weekend!! we are on the same page. cant wait to hear more about your trip.
Love strolling through Hudson on Warren Street – breakfast at Le Gamin then a day of shopping at Hudson Home and all the wonderful antique stores. Too bad my in-laws are just 30 minutes away or we would stay at that lovely inn!
Can't wait to hear what you were up to with those guys!
You were able to stay in that room?? You lucky duck!! And those buildings?… what history! I would have loved to have been there too!
Happy Friday Dear! xo
Wow, can't wait to hear all about it!!
You have the life my dear… Paris and now this?
Too much fun 🙂

Oh my gosh, I didn't even put two and two together with the bikes… How cool is that?!
I love the room you stayed in! I wouldn't want to come home!
Wait… You seriously stayed in that room? In that Inn? Wow. That looks like pure heaven to me. They are both equally beautiful, but you had me at "1st Dibs"…..
I'm beginning to wonder if I should move up East…?
That room at the Inn looks absolutely wonderful. I don't think I would have left it all weekend!!!
What a lovely way to spent some time. I'm not sure I'd ever beable to leave that bed or room.
I'm adding Hudson to our *must see* list.
Enjoy your weekend ~
Jo
Look like my kind of vacation. What a beautiful setting.
Looks like you had a wonderful vacation! Love the photos. I am glad I found your blog and am now a follower!
The next time you head up there…call me! I am in! 🙂 This looks right up my alley! Looking forward to hearing much more about this!
If there was a hotel party, it surely was in THAT room! If I was Flat Stanley, I would throw myself in your travel bag for sure 🙂
Can't wait to hear about your trip!
Oh, sounds fun…cannot wait to hear about it! I will add it to my list of places to visit!
Dear All,
Apparently, taking a road trip derailed the rest of what I needed to be doing, such as responding to all of you — but it was fun. So, I appreciate all the comments and promise to get my posts (yes, there will be more than 1) together on this wonderful town.
