but not the bent-over-from-laughing-hard-kind-of-stitches. Just beautiful….monogrammed stitches.
Almost daily I am connecting with many of you out there — and little acts of serendipity keep happening. One such happening occurred when Cathy of Stitchfork emailed me that she had put together an embroidered monogram based off the design that Patricia of pve design had created for my blog.
How lovely, I thought….and what was really wild is the plate that she displayed in the picture above…well, I have those plates. And, like Cathy, they were passed down to me — mine belonged to my husband’s grandmother. Cathy’s belonged to her grandmother.
Beautiful! Love the monogram with the tulips 🙂
How lovely! What a treasure!!
So pretty! So you! You seem to have a real affinity for making these connections! 🙂
Such a beautiful post.. I love anything monogrammed.. gorgeous plates. I have one lonely saucer.. guess I'll have to try and build on that.. hugs ~lynne~
That was also my grandmothers china (Franciscan Desert Rose). I love it. It was serendipitous to click on your blog for the first time and see it here!!
Another beautiful artist! She captured every detail and they are going to be so enjoyed by everyone who uses them!
Those are gorgeous! I'm going to head over to her site right now.
So beautiful! What a treat…
I love that you change your kitchen displays, how fun for you and a treat for people who come over!
Really beautiful–the china, the stitching and your post. Lovely that you're acutally using the china–that must have been really meaningful and special for your mother-in-law.
I need to have some new dinner napkins with pve on them! Now that would be a little serendipity in my life!
Love your dishes and that you use them too!

Awwww how nice is that! It is beautiful!
I met a blogger who knew of a selfpublishing place so now I can really make my book come true!
Always… I look for it 🙂
My wonderful Grandmother had the same dishes… they always make me happy whenever I see them 🙂
Thanks for making me happy.
Oh how I'd love to go the St. James store in Paris!! You are so lucky!!
Your summer has been awesome Elizabeth! When are you coming to Cali?

What a sweet and generous gift. I'll be popping over to peek at the site. I'm always in *need* of a new monogrammed goodie.
Have a great week ~

Have a great time with your mother-in-law! I'm sure it's a treat for her to be in such a beautiful and loving home 🙂 LOVE all the photos and details!
Absolutely lovely!! Such a sweet story too!
Absolutely lovely monogram. A very dear friend of mine collects Desert Rose and I've always admired her collection. So very beautiful.
I am fairly new to blogging and just came upon your wonderful blog. I am signing up as a follower but my little icon has disappeared so I will probably just show up as a silhouette under your followers. When you have a chance I would love you to stop over and visit me.
I'm a sucker for monograms and that you have a custom one to go with your china is just exquisite!
