My youngest son will turn 6 in September. And he really, really wants a Lego party.
I thought it would be great to have a Lego Master come lead a class….but alas, little boys under the age of 7 are not deemed “old enough” for his classes. Next idea…a Tie Dye party since my son’s name is Ty. But, that might be a little messy at this age.
Finally, inspiration struck when I saw the picture Ty drew this week.
Robot images from hostessblog.com, where I found a plethora (love that word!) of ideas for any type party you might want to have. Check it out!
Love these Lego inspired invitations from creative genius, Alexis, of Jac’olyn Murphy.
I still have some work to do, but at least I’ve narrowed down a theme – Let’s Build Robots!
Where do you find inspiration for your parties?

Adorable! When my kids were younger, (before the internet) I simply called the character du jour to make an appearance and followed up with matching everything. For my son, Michael, we had Pee Wee Herman (can you imagine?!?!) Superman, etc. Now look what you have at your finger tips! I can't wait to see what you come up with; I love robots. Is he a fan of Buzz Lightyear?
Best,
Colleen
I have a file with a plethora of ideas, I will need to dig out the one on robots for you!

What a great way to come back from vacation…a mention from Pretty Pink Tulips!!! I LOVE the Let's Build Robots idea!
I know it sounds corny but I find inspiration every where…for parties I try to find one image or colors that I want to focus on and play those up.
Our vacation was great but I am glad to be home and to catch up on all your posts 🙂
xo,
Alexis
Enjoy that he is still in to LEGO. Time flies x
you are so cute! i want to be a cool mom like you!!
I have only had to have girl parties, but I will tuck the lego robot party away for potential grandsons! Thanks!
Love your game plan! My son is just getting into big legos now and I told my husband I see a Lego's party in our future! Do you know abou the huge Lego event at Lyndhurst? They all Lego gurus on hand…wonder if they could recommend someone to you? As for my inspiration, it comes from my own head. Once I have the theme I cut loose with the planning. I keep my eyes open for options that would add to the theme. I can't wait to see images from your son's 6th! You have a great eye.
Let me know how it all goes! My sons room is one big lego (after we designed the whole thing around space & galaxy…even painting the room all black!) I am looking to your for future inspiration for my younger son 🙂
