The Fab Four on Abbey Road
The Fab invitation
What started out as lullaby music for my friend’s son….turned into his obsession with the Beatles. So, Hillary did what any good mother would do. She went with it.
On a recent family trip to London, they spent half an hour waiting for the traffic to pass so they could snap this photo of William walking across Abbey Road!
You know how the invitation sets the tone for a party? We would not be disappointed. Enjoy the rockin’ party, as captured by Chris Herder Photography.

Hillary made theVIP tags – using google images, Staples badge holders and wrote in each guests name with a Sharpie, like a stage hand would do.
Move over Jonas Brothers and Justin Bieber….there’s a new boy band in town!
And as the thank you notes read….”Let’s do it again…When I’m Sixty Four!”
Happy Birthday, William!!! I loved twisting and shouting with you!

What fun! And, attention to detail! I used to be crazy about the Beatles, especially George! What memories. It's nice to see, they continue to rock on…
So so cute!! I love the creativity…and that invite picture is the best!
I love it! What a great party!
How fun! I love things like these and just look at the smiles on their faces. A day to remember for sure.

What a fabulous party! I especially love the little details like the VIP passes and those iconic sunglasses! He looks like one happy little guy!
Days – isn't it great, that a 5 year old can appreciate/love their music! I think the band would have loved this.
Flair – Hillary has a gift, for sure!
Kate – it was fun!
Charlotta – the pure joy the kids had was a pleasure to watch
Consummate Hostess – the glasses were hysterical on all the kids — and the VIP tags were the welcome to the party. So creative!

Elizabeth,
I love this party! It is beyond fabulous! I love all the love that went into giving her son a fabulous and memorable party…double thumbs up!
In love with your friend, her gorgeous family and this entire idea! Beyond cool and fab…going to read this again right now!
Nothing like educating our little one's about rock legends and that we all need a little help from our friends. I think the Beatles would approve of the party and the fans.

What a great party! I love when moms go over the top for their kids!
Is that a hired band or are they the dads?
How adorable and what great memories. Hope he does do it again at 64.
Now that was truly a fab party… one they will never forget!! Thanks so much for sharing it all with us… and the Birthday Boy is too cute for words!
Fab party! Now I will be singing the Beatles Birthday song alllll day — you say it's your birthday……
How clever is that??!! I especially love the Lennon glasses, what a darling touch! This is the cutest idea ever! XO!
Hello! So glad Sue introduced us : ) This must be the most creative birthday party I ever did see! If only my parents were this creative…love it!
xx Katie
Absolutely adorable.
We were invited to a Beatles party years ago. It was the best party ever. As we entered a corridor with tickets on the ground, flanked by fan pictures, a tape recorder loop of screaming teens played. There were cellophane flowers of yellow and green, towering over our heads. My friend had made a Beatles dance vides, had go-go girls, and we danced all night. After that they had a mod party that was also fantastic.
Hamptontoes – Lisa, I know you know how to throw a party, too! This was right up your alley!
Zhush – she will appreciate that!
pve – so true!!!
Surburban Princess – it was a hired band. They started in the early 1960s outfits of little black suits and then changed for the finale into the more colorful costumes.
Mona – I think he's got such a talented mom that he'll have many more fun parties b/w now and 64! 🙂
La Dolfina – he is adorable — and loves music!
Stitchfork — now aren't you clever?? I could have titled this post so many fun things!
Shari – the Lennon glasses were so cute on all the kids. She also had ringpops…since Ringo used to wear a big ring. Adorable!
Neo-T: so happy you stopped by! I know…all of her boys are lucky to have such a creative mom!
Mrs. Blandings – thank you…from you, it's high praise.
Dovecoate Decor – sounds like SO much fun!!!

Total dream theme! How cute is he?!
Too cute for words! What a wonderful party. Very creative and fun.
OK that is one of the BEST themes and parties I have seen in a long time. I love it all, such great details. John, Paul, George and Ringo would be proud!
stop it- it's too cute!!! this is the best party ever…. except for the awesome robot party you are scheming up. i want to see pics from that, too!!
This party is a wonderful example of taking what your child loves most and making it into a fabulous party – especially since this was far from a typical kid birthday theme!
I would have loved this as a child. Heck, I love this now. I envy your son 🙂 What an awesome, creative party.
So amazing!!!
I´m crazy about The Beatles because of my father. And I though my kids will be crazy too because of my husband passion… but a car accident last year changed my plans…
How surprised am I when my little boy asked me a Beatles them party for his 7s???? Even without his father here (for one long year…), he still likes the songs and wants to be a Beatles fan.
I´m lucky! So blessed!
Kisses. Thank you for the inspiration!
