New York City’s acclaimed floral designer, Grayson Handy, showcases arrangements that capture the essence of cultures around the world in his new book, Flowers for the Home~Inspirations from the World Over by Prudence Designs.
Masterfully creating arrangements that will make you swoon, he gives you the steps and the tools to recreate them in your own home. Purposefully, he focuses on using flowers that are widely available.
The stunning photography is captured by Ellen Silverman. This book makes a beautiful gift, but I caution you….it’s so inspiring, you’ll want one for yourself!
In Grayson Handy’s words, “I hope that I will inspire the florist within you to be creatively fearless.”
Are you feeling creatively fearless?
The nerve and pluck of every florist's creativity does take great courage and unabashed fearlessness. All it takes is one tiny seed or bulb to light the fire of my inner floral designer. (now that book looks like it would inspire some sort of celebration!)

I've always been inadequate when it comes to flower arranging. My Mother possessed an insouciant style that I've been unable to replicate (nor did I inherit her talent). Looks like a lovely, inspirational book. Happy Weekend!
Love the guys at Prudence, ever since I received a bouquet as a gift. The picture of the orange poppies with the blue porcelain is gorgeous!
Great to see you last night!

I'm creatively fearless, but there is much to fear if you hand over flowers for me to arrange! I will admit it's not my forte. I love flowers though! One of my most impressive flower arranging moments was watching Top Design and Eddie Ross slayed the competition in the quick floral challenge. It was neat to see that it is true art and true talent arranging them. Me…I can pick em and stuff em in a vase. This book looks like a good visual lesson and forever enjoyment! XO, Kelly
Yes, I need this. Crazy about fresh flowers…need help with arranging! I tend to just cut and submerge!
What a great phrase – creatively fearless! That should apply to all endeavors, not just flowers.
I simply must own this book! I agree with Stitchfork- what a great life motto! Hope that you have a wonderful weekend.
Wow I am off to search for it in Amazon, just what I needed on a rainy afternoon in SW France.

I'm so happy that you have brought this book to our attention! I love flowers and always try to have them around me but…I'm not as creative as I wish I could be when it comes to arranging them. I am off to find this book. Many thanks! Have a great weekend.
