I know…I know…it’s still technically summer. But, when I stopped by my local garden center this week, they had started to put out some Fall elements. I couldn’t resist giving my window boxes a fresh look and just had to have this “fairytale” pumpkin. I’ll bet it’s the kind that Charles Perrault was looking at in 1697, when he penned his version of the tale, Cinderalla. Now….if only I had a fairy god-mother!
Are you ready for a change?
Yes, there is something refreshing about "change" and keeping one guessing! We do have to work hard at seeing if anyone notices the little changes, right?
Only our fairy God-mother will know! (New hair cut, new glasses, new leather pants, fresh window boxes, topiaries, snakeskin boots…..tee hee.)
What, these old things…..
Embrace change!

I wish my fairy godmother would come down and transform my front porch into a haven of fall goodies just like yours! Love the ornamental cabbages and touch of orange…

I wish my fairy godmother would come to Boston and take care of my plantings! I love McArdles.

Your planters look great! And yes, I must be ready for a change too as my daughter and I made pumpkin bread last night and just finished a slice for breakfast!
Are you kidding me!? You're curb appeal is like a fairytale…its magical! Completely inspired!
You weren't kidding when you said you were redoing the window boxes…I am soooo inspired! And it looks soooo pretty! "pretty purple cabbage, and pretty orange pumpkins" I can only hope the front of my house can look that pretty some day! –Gretchen O.

For me "Fall" starts the first day of September, so I don't think you're too early at all. Everything looks lovely.

This is the first year ever in my adult years that I'm truly excited about the fall season. I usually dragged my feet out of the summer season…but, this year I'm grateful for the perfect summer we had and now looking forward to pumpkin picking, apple picking, Halloween with my kiddies and fall gatherings. Your home looks lovely!
I love it and you have totally inspired me to change over my window boxes for the fall!!
images are so pretty! I'm hanging on to summer for as long as I can!
I love, Love, LOv, LOVe, LOVE your home! Love it. Loving it, all of it and then back to mad love for it 🙂 The window boxes look GREAT, I need to do something with mine!
Yeah! It's pumpkin time. I'm so ready for Fall. We worked in a house all day yesterday and we just had to take a few pumpkins and mums with us to leave a touch of Fall when we shut the door.
Love, love, love the window box!! Now if it would just cool down in Texas so I can plant!

Will you come and work your magic over here?! Looks lovely. Isn't fall the best? That cabbage…. And question, where are your window boxes from? I'm in the market for some, next spring. XOXO
Bentley, Fall is the best! I guess you tell I'm excited! Window Boxes…Walpole makes quality ones. Mine were actually on the house when we bought it, but I have found them a little small, so I am going to order some through the Greenwich garden center, McCardles. They have a number of selections that you can choose from and order them, if they are not in stock. I just find them immensely helpful there. xo Elizabeth
How inspiring! I love your exterior entry. Where did you find those great lanterns on either side of your door?
I LOVE these and I Love that Cinderalla. I grew up watching that and prefer it over the animated version. Gorgeous landscaping too!
