Down the road in Greenwich, CT, we spent a fun-filled day with our boys.
From the hayride down to the pumpkin patch, to making scarecrows with outgrown Halloween costumes, it was the kind of day we hope will stay in their memories forever.
If you’re in the area, head over to Sam Bridge-a nursery and garden center that’s been in operation since the 1930s.
They will supply the makings of either a 6 foot scarecrow or a child size scarecrow (which is what we did, so each boy had their own). All you have to supply is the clothing and a child-like enthusiasm.
What kind of memories are you making this Fall?
This looks amazing (your photography is gorgeous!) If we can squeeze this in between endless soccer…will absolutely head over to Greenwich, how fun! Great tip, thanks!
How fun! I have never seen a pumpkin patch like this…loved the hay characters!!
Pumpkin farms are just the best way to spend a fall day…this one looks like a winner!
I cannot wait to see what is in store for your son's future. As a Mom, I love the way you always seem to allow time for having fun whilst creating special memories.
What a fun Fall outing~

Definitely a day for the special memories book! Looks like it was a fun-filled outing.
oh, and great picture of you in the Woman's Day magazine!!! Congrats!
So much fun! Going to pumpkins and make scarecrows was one of my favorite things about fall as a child. That was before I developed fall allergies! xx
This looks like so much fun! I keep thinking I should open a place like this where I live – I bet it would be very successful!
Looks like a fun day! I love days like this with the family…and great photos as well. –Gretchen O.
Would love to create new fall memories with the boys now that they're older… Miss those days when pumpkins and hayrides were top on our list!
you are making this aspiring kennedy wish she was in the northeast. how pretty!!! 🙂
Looks like a fun day. I used to love these fall fairs when the kids were little. Love Sam Bridge – looks like they put on a great show!
I love the idea of making a child sized scarecrow with their own outgrown clothes/costumes. How clever!

Colleen

It is always fun to pick the perfect pumpkin. Love the hay bale creatures.
It doesn't get much better than this!
