I adore Halloween and got a jump on decorating the house – both inside and out. Come on in, if you dare!
Recent reports state that US retailers can expect a boost of $5.7 billion in consumer spending for Halloween. If you get spooked by the thought of spending money on decorating for Halloween, let me put you at ease. Use what you have.
- Tie black grosgrain ribbon or a black and white check ribbon on a cake stand
- Dig out your prettiest crystal bowl and fill it with candy corn
- Look around for anything black or orange in different rooms and cluster it for high impact
- Hang “ghosts” from your chandelier (I cover styrofoam balls with white nakpins and tie with ribbon)
What are your bewitching Halloween tips?
First of all you did a fantastic job! Not surprising how adorable it all is 🙂 Then I love your blogger facts and friendly ways to apply your style and touch to our abodes. I bet your kids are thrilled to see the house so festive! Mine are loving the candy corn dish we have set out!! XO, Kely
All that candy wouldn't last a day in my house! Love the grosgrain ribbon on the crystal and the little hanging ghosts…
What fun memories you are creating for your family by adding pizazz to your home for Halloween.
Lots of nice pretty tricks and treats!

Oh, you are so good at decorating!! I adore your front door…the plants/flowers/halloween decorations/window boxes…lovely with a bit of halloween in it!
I love your decorations. Many are quite elegant and lovely!
I am adding to my "to do" list today – take out Halloween decorations.
Thank you for sharing. 🙂
What fun! I am just NOW getting into fall, now I need to get a jump on the Halloween spirit! Thanks for the ideas.

I love Halloween decorations too. I am so behind. All your efforts look wonderful and have motivated me…to get busy and do something!
Oh, love it! We are doing pumpkins next weekend and I need to pull out the stuff for our annual scarecrow. This reminds me I need to get a hay bale this week! I am due on the 26th so I had better get moving. My duaghter is wearing a costume I wore when I was her age. I cannot wait….she's been playing dress up in it while over at "Nanny's" (grandma's) house recently.
Your amazing! I love that candy bowl with the candy corn so much! And the ghosts on the light fixture are "brilliant!" Off to scare up some black ribbons! 🙂
One thing I have noticed on my trips to the US….Americans LOVE Halloween!
I just have a few little Halloween decorations but lots of Autumn decorations…my house has lots of leaves and Autumn colours around it right now :O)
Great post! Loving your front door with all the fall colors around it!

How fun. I enjoy seeing the gardens and front door in its spooky guise. I like the idea of ghosts floating from the chandelier.
I have pulled out my decorations, but so far I only have a jar of candy corn on my desk (and I'm trying not to eat it!)
Thanks for the inspiration.
Too cute! You have so much Halloween stuff, and it's all tasteful and darling! My MIL told me last night that we can't put up outside Halloween decorations in our new place because our upstairs neighbor is a priest and he will be offended, lol! XX!
So fun – I don't even do the inside of the house any more. And we hardly get any trick or treaters on our little road so I'm living vicariously through your decorations.
How darling…love it all!
Looks great! I can't buy the candy till the holiday gets closer though, because it definitely will not last a month in this house! I decorated for Halloween this weekend too. My cheap fix was printing out a bunch of different spooky templates (bats, owls, witches, skulls) from martha stewart website and swapping out the photos in my living room with the free! halloween art. Then I put cobwebs over the frames. Voila!
Love it all! Halloween is so fun.
How gorgeous. Can you come and style my house?! You have motivated me to finish my decorations this weekend!! Oh and when are we doing our fall field trip with PVE? XO
Where did you get your front door witch, she is fabulous?
