I had one of those days that I couldn’t have scripted any better.
Lunch at BG with a longtime friend, visiting from out of town. Followed by a little browsing on the 7th floor of Bergdorf Goodman. Then, as if on cue, Bernard Maisner, the gifted King of Calligraphy, stopped by to say hello to the associates who sell his eponymous line of engraved stationery, bookmarks, place cards and holiday cards.
I have a box of his engraved flower stationery….bought in Dallas on my last trip home. It’s an understatement to say I’m a fan.
Bernard Maisner is an internationally renowned calligrapher, stationer and contemporary artist. Owning one of his little masterpieces is owning a fine piece of art.
If you live in, near or will be visiting NYC on December 11th…mark this on your calendar!
Bernard will be at Bergdorf Goodman that afternoon, on the 7th floor, offering complimentary customization for any of his work purchased that day.
Here are some ideas on how to leverage this opportunity:
❤Select a bookmark for a friend, have it customized with her name and give it with a special book
❤Customize bookmarks for each of your book club members
❤Customize a set of place cards for each member of a friend’s family
❤Customize a set of place cards for your family and use them for holiday dinners
❤Customize a paperweight to commemorate a wedding, a birthday, a new baby
