Bergdorf Goodman…Unveiled

Most of us are knee deep in turkey, dressing, stuffing, gravy, pie prep and visiting relatives.

Yet, I’m already gearing up for my first holiday trip into New York City on the day after Thanksgiving…to see Mary Poppins with my children!

One of the highlights of the season is seeing the magical windows at each of the city’s finest department stores. Most of them were unveiled this week.

Enjoy watching how the talented artisans, led by David Hoey and Linda Fargo, at Bergdorf Goodman assemble theirs!!

And if you can’t make it to the Big Apple to see this spectacle in person, check out their book, Windows at Bergdorf Goodman, by Assouline which has just beeen released.

Do you like to window shop? I do!

  1. Window shopping is one of our favorite things to do over the holidays – especially in New York when everything takes on a magical glow! Would love to get my hands on that new book!

    stunningly sophisticated.

  10. Oh, I am so jealous. What a fabulous time to be so near the city! The other night I asked my husband if he wanted to hop on the train with the kids and get one last jaunt up to NYC before we head to Dallas in two weeks. He looked at our newborn and 2.5 year old and then back at me like I was CRAZY. I'll be with you in spirit!

  11. Elizabeth I love the store windows at the holidays! Thay are so creative!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  19. Elizabeth,
You are going to love Mary Poppins! I took my daughter in the spring and it was truly magical. I'm taking her to see Angelina Ballerina (she loves the books/DVD's) over the weekend! We love doing shows! I was in the city all day today and just walked in a short time ago…I had a ball with my kiddies! Off to prepare a few things for tomorrow before bed. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

  20. Just popping in to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope the holiday brings peace, happiness and health.
