The Halloween candy has all been handed out, eaten or taken to the office. Now it’s time to start thinking about Thanksgiving.
For four generations, the Greenberg family has been smoking turkeys in Tyler, Texas and shipping them throughout the country. My dad grew up in Tyler, so I honestly don’t remember when we didn’t have a Greenberg turkey during the holiday season.
You don’t have to cook it. You don’t have to reheat it. It tastes best chilled or at room temperature. So, all you need to do when it arrives is put it in the refrigerator.
Though it can take the place of the traditional cooked and stuffed turkey for Thanksgiving, I like to have one specifically for the sandwiches after Thanksgiving or throughout December…and it is ideal for a party or a holiday gift.
I’ve already ordered our turkey for this year, so obviously I love them. But don’t just take my word on it….see what others had to say.
