The holidays are approaching and so are the lists, the parties, the shopping and the rushing.
So, today’s post is for anyone out there who’s feeling the pressure. Struggling. Frustrated. Overwhelmed. Come with me…let’s take a walk.
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
~ Robert Frost
Get outside and take a walk – and take the path less traveled.
Are we taking a bottle of wine on this walk? ;o)
Hope you have a great weekend! I keep reminding myself that my stress will all be over on December 6th :O)
Very timely sentiments. It does get crazy this time of year, doesn't it! Hope you have a great weekend.
Beautiful photos. I agree it is important to take a deep breath and slow down. Nature helps us do that. We just have to look and listen.
Happy weekend to you, and thanks for stopping by my blog! 🙂
Your post is exactly what I need right now – had plans to get out of the office early and enjoy this gorgeous day but the phone won't stop ringing! Plan to hit the trails tomorrow, though. Beautiful, inspirational pictures!
xxoo
And what a day you chose…gorgeous!!!
Thank you, thank you Elizabeth! I am already stressing about Christmas, so much to do! You calmed me down, lovely lady! XX!
Ahhhhhhh, sigh, breathe….I feel better now! And I didn't even have to read the whole poem, because it is one of the only ones I have memorized…one of my favorites. Thanks Elizabeth, I needed that nice walk.
Hope all went well yesterday.

Oh how I would love to walk down that path. I smiled the other day when I got out of my car there was a maple leaf. I had to step on it to hear the crunch,I just love doing that!!!
Thank you sooooo much for your wonderful compliment about my Thanksgiving table. It really meant a lot to me!!!! The mirrors are really cheap, just go to a glass cutter and buy the cheapest mirrors they have and have them cut it for you. I also use wall mirrors on my table all the time. You will be seeing it in my Christmas post soon!!
Have a wonderful fall weekend,
Kathysue
You'd laugh if
you saw what I'd
be walking out into…
It's been snowing
here, all day! It
does put you in the
mood for the holidays,
though! Lovely images,
all, Elizabeth!

I had to memorize this poem in 8th grade and recite it to the class. I love this and now that I am older I can understand it so much better. It has been a lovely day here in KY. Have a great weekend!
