Are you ever stumped on what to give someone for a gift? Well, sometimes, a little something is all that’s needed.
I have a little mirrored tray that I keep in my bedroom. It’s full of…little things. Limoges received as a bridesmaid and one from my parents. A Herend bunny in my favorite hue. Pinch pots….one from each of my boys. A little happy birthday box given to me by my friend, Erin, on a long ago birthday. Just little things.
Yet, together, they tell a story. The serve as reminders. They make me smile.
So, if you ever think that the grand gesture is the only way to go. Think again. Sometimes, the tiniest things make the biggest and lasting impact.
What is your smallest treasure?
a small green glass bacarat frog.
love little things collected over time.

Elizabeth,
You get "it" in life. I love all your little reminders of those special moments and special people in your life and yes, it is the little things that matter in life. Glad to call you a friend!
I am completely with you on this! Love the little tray you have with these special pieces- what a great way to see these special things each day! Take care, Caroline
So sweet. I love that you have your pinch pots right there with the herend–it's a beautiful collection.

I have a collection of three heart-shaped rocks on my dressing table. One I found on a beach walk the day before I met my husband, the other was found on a hike when we were in Sun Valley for our wedding, and the third when we were walking on the beach together. To me, they are priceless! And next to them is a herend elephant from two of my bridesmaids… I love the little things. Your collection is lovely.
Beautiful Collection! I know another fabulous gal in your town who has collected those since we were kids…great minds think alike 🙂

Such a pretty collection! I have a little glass cross my grandmother gave me that is my little treasure.
Life is all about the little things, and its nice to incorporate those into our design…they are the things that mean the most!
Couldn't agree more – I love little vignettes of favorite things. And I have a dresser with a collection that my husband started me on of antique crystal bottles with sterling tops mixed with family photos – I am happy as I pass by it every day!
awee – this was so sweet, I love the reminder to give these precious little sweeties as gifts – maybe a shell limoge for my bridesmaids! xoxox
I agree. I have a collection of hearts of all types–one is a little charm from a Christmas cracker years ago. It is the little things that make us smile.
I just love how you keep them all together. What a wonderful collection and reminder of happy times 🙂 xoxo

So pretty! I love little collection like this, especially ones that have meaning 🙂
I have a hammered
metal tray in MY
bedroom filled with
small boxes from all
over the world. Some
are from childhood, but
most are gifts from my
dad as he and mom traveled
the globe after he
retired. They mean so
much to me; I know just
how you feel!

I have all of the little clay goodies made by my boys serving as my office desk accessories. Not chic, but sentimental and charming. Most recent sweetest gift: my initial from my sister in law for Valentine's Day. Total bonus when your sister in law is one of your best friends. She knew I needed a little pick me up after my hubs terrible( but now recovering) illness.
Sweet post. Lynn
Love the Herend bunny- those are always such pretty gifts- and a classic!!
I have had so much fun perusing your posts. I have been away from blogging for a couple of weeks and I'm just catching up. I came back to this one because I have to find a gift for a very dear person and a little box would be perfect.
My mom had an exquisite collection of antique perfume bottles and when I moved away she would always send me one for my birthday. That's what I treasure most.
