I recently stumbled upon a dynamic Dallas duo – Bradley and Alison of the hip, haute blog, Luella & June.
These young women grew up in Dallas and have been friends since the 7th grade. While rooming together at the University of Texas at Austin (Go Longhorns!), they found they also loved reading blogs and thought it would be fun to create one of their own. And, so Luella & June was born, named after Alison’s grandmother, Luella June.
Since they are obviously in the know, I asked if they would give me their best tips for my upcoming trip to Dallas. I usually take my young sons to visit family and friends each March and thought that we could use some fresh ideas to make the most of this visit.
I love what they came up with and thought I would share it with all of you!
There’s no place like home….don’t you agree?! What’s your hometown?

Such lovely ladies, and a fabulous list. Looks like it will be a fun trip. It's been about a decade since I've been to Dallas for any reason other than to visit a Nordstrom store, but I had a terrific time when was there to play!

Dallas in wonderland for sure! Thanks for the intro to this fab pair and their blog…I have never been to Texas, but I think, based on knowing you, and what I see here, it would be my kind of town…jealous of this trip!

Yes, no place like home. Except when I was by sand and surf this morning, then returned this afternnon to my car buried in snow in the airport parking lot – sigh…

My hometown is NYC. Well it's actually a town on Long Island but I've been living in NYC for 21 years now…longer than I lived in my actual hometown so I consider the city my home 🙂
Have a great weekend, lovely! xoxo
I know of the blog and its a lot of fun, they put a lot of enthusiasm and creativity into what they do and its a lot of fun to read…..one more reason I want to revisit Dallas!!
Hi Elizabeth: In true blog form you are commenting from vacation. I can't wait to see your pictures. I'm just catching up on a few posts, since my last visit and "Its the Little things" plucked a little heart string. I have a wide hanging shelf in my bedroom with all my girls precious baby things. I have their tiny shoes, mugs, dolls and camp art all happily together, and they do make me smile.
Best,
Liz
How fun! Have a great trip to Dallas, I'm off to visit their stylish site!!

I was born in Europe but my family moved to Canada when I was little. I have been back many times to visit and there really is *no place like home*.
You asked the right girls for advice!
It makes all the difference to get tips from those in the know!!
