Was it really only a week ago that I was there? Azaleas in full bloom, along the banks of one of my favorite spots, Turtle Creek, in Dallas.
Another sunny spot on my visit to Dallas was meeting two of my favorite blogging friends in person.
Susie Isaacs, of Maddie’s Nest, recently moved to Dallas from Virgina and brought newborn son, Harry, to meet for coffee. Kellie Cashon, of Cashon & Co, is about to launch an amazing new online shop and brought Susie and I back to see her AMAZING redone office. Let’s just say I had to pick my jaw up off the ground. Oh, and she’s also launching another new venture….but I don’t want to spoil the fun. Just stay tuned to her blog for details.
Ladies, thanks so much for taking time out of your schedules to meet — it was like catching up with old friends!
Lastly, I was able to squeeze in a little bit more shopping. I had read about Cabana for some time, but when it appeared on the Dallas Favorites list created for me by Luella & June, I made it a priority!
Located in a charming little house off Lovers Lane, look for the purple door as there is no sign! Owner Merry Vose has assembled chic, affordable clothing and accessories that make you feel like you’re shopping your best friend’s closet. So great to meet you in person, Merry!
I may have left with a goodie or two! Shhhh….don’t tell “you know who”!
What have you got planned for the weekend? I’m bundling up and hopefully making it into the city for the Matchbook soiree.
Can you open a wee shop like that nearby? I love the sort of boho vibe and the fresh color…. love your top too.
wish I could make it tonight, my daughter is dancing at Purchase college. Tell all those fab mathbook people I think they are on fire.

You certainly packed your week full of fun and that store is darling! I second PVE – you'd be perfect as a little shop owner in our neck of the woods!

Elizabeth,
You are SUCH AN AMAZING PERSON! look at your photographs! wow. I may have to make the Turtle Creek Azealeas my screen saver. One photo I will NOT be making my screen saver is the one of me with you two beauties… Let me state for the record (again) NO MAKE UP AND NO SLEEP does not make for a pretty picture on me… OH WELL, This is what rolling out of bed for coffee at 40 years old looks like now! *wink
Thank you for the kind words. It was SO fun, and I seriously want to head up EAST and take my tour of your town. SERIOUSLY. NOT KIDDING.

It was so fun to meet with you, Elizabeth, and I still like you even though you posted this horrid photo!!! I seriously joined weight watchers(as I said I would) after I saw this photo on your digital that morning. And, I agree, Kellie's office and her new venture are amazing. I still remember how we kept looking at each other as she showed us everything. I want to be her assistant! It was fun….even little Harry enjoyed himself. Have a great weekend!

I loved looking at all of your pictures! I wish we had such an adorable store close by in my college town. Sadly we have to do a bit of driving for any good shopping.
