Welcome to August! Can you believe it? Though we have a number of days to enjoy the beach, I’m already getting bombarded by “back to school” messages!
Which made me think of all the students and families preparing to set up dorm rooms around the country. Though I adore the artwork by Jen Ramos( aka Made by Girl and Cocoa & Hearts )for younger girls or myself, I think it would be really fun in a dorm room, as they always need a little jazzing up!
The LOVE prints (in additional colors to what is shown above) are so affordable at $25. And, the Ikat cards would be cute for listing text and cell phone info for all the new friends college freshmen will be meeting.
For something a little more substantial, Jen has a host of small and large colorful paintings. She’s replenishing right now, so if you see something you like, just send her an email!

Pretty things! I agree those adorable and beautifully colored LOVE posters would be amazing for a girls dorm room, and they are so reasonsable. Will have to alert my sister whose daughter is heading to college next month…cute things!
I have always wished I had a daughter's room to decorate. Of course, son Patrick wants no part of in me kitting out his new dorm room! (still hard to believe my baby goes to college this fall– I am blocking out back to school messages for a few more weeks yet!:-)

Oh I had no idea Jen did these cute prints – am definitely showing my daughter who loves to decorate her dorm room. I should have taken a picture of it last year – she actually did a totally amazing job!!

I go to her site almost daily to look at the paintings with all of the swirls of color (almost like swatches). I love them and want to find a place for one in our house. Just not sure where yet!

Having met Jen in person I can say she's as lovely has her work! While my boys aren't old enough for dorm rooms yet, perhaps I can talk them into a LOVE poster… if not, I'll take one for the office, please!
