Last night I traded in my yoga pants for a a sparkly dress and heels, as my husband and I joined friends at the 26th Annual New York Police & Fire Widow’s and Children’s Benefit Fund “black tie” dinner. Marking the 10th anniversary of 9-11, this was an especially poignant evening.
The event was held on 10-13…which had specific significance. That is the code used for “officer down”.
Tonight, I’ll be back to my usual uniform and the closest thing I’ll get to a black tie for a while are those delicious looking cupcakes above.
Here’s to all the men and women who go to work every day to keep us safe!
Whether your weekend includes black tie or tie dye, I hope you enjoy every minute!
