Isabella – My Favorite Linen Store

5 years. That’s how long it’s been since I’ve walked through the doors of Isabella, in Charlotte, N.C. Yet, it remains my favorite linen store.

If there is one thing I have chronicled on this blog, it is my love of fine linens. My favorite set of sheets were made by Bagni Volpi Noemi for N.C. Souther, which I bought at Isabella nearly 10 years ago.

In addition to my favorite set of sheets, I have a favorite pair of Bonsoir pajamas that have lasted and aged just as well.

So, although I was always fond of the shop and in there quite frequently when I lived in Charlotte…it is only now looking back that I realize what great value my linen investments were. 

Owner, Erin Doughtery, has been there as long as I can remember and has a great eye for not only great linens, but accessories, lamps and lingerie. Take a look at her website and blog…and you’ll see what I mean.

  11. What a wonderful shop! There's no better investment than a good night sleep, right? Every time I have friends over for dinner, I realize what a worthwhile investment my Libeco linen napkins have been — I think it's the little details like these that make all the difference!

  12. Oh, looks like the perfect spot. And to answer you question…yes…fine linens are worth it! Last time I decided to buy sheets at TJ Maxx my husband crawled into bed that night and immediately knew something was up. I am not kidding when I say he stripped the bed and helped me make it again declaring there was no way he could sleep on those. I was so tired that night….I'll never forget the ordeal 🙂
