Who’s there?
The weekend, that’s who! I for one am ready to curl up next to a roaring fire and relax! Half of my house came down (that’s a good thing) and a new foundation has already been poured. We’re “living through it”, but knowing what we’ll have when we finish, it’s so worth it.
Nothing fancy. Bigger garage, mudroom and laundry room, plus and upstairs area for our boys and their friends.
I’ve taken pictures, but they aren’t very pretty…so I’ll share things when we get a little further along.
What’s going on at your house?! I hope it’s wonderful and that you enjoy this weekend as much as I intend to!

Welcome to my world!! But it IS exciting and you will I am sure really enjoy the process as you start seeing it come to life, and when you get to start picking out everything, then it becomes a little more fun! Cannot wait to see it as it moves along, lets both pray for a mild winter so as to not have the weather interfere with our projects. Wishing you God speed in your renovation…..have a great weekend!
Welcome to my world too. I know you will love it – afterwards. Enjoy the process, smile, bring treats and hot beverages….It helps….it is the little things after all that make daily living more fun!
I ditto Tina! God speed….ahead.

Larger mudrooms and laundry rooms are so luxurious. Harkens back to the old gun room on estates, where the dog, the guns and the muddy boots were deposited. Few and far between now. That is really exciting for you. Congrats. I have a friend, who, as beautiful as the rest of her house is, gets raves over her enormous laundry room. When she has party, everyone somehow seems to end up in there, and all one can hear is, "Oh my GOSH, I'm SO jealous!" 🙂
wow! sounds so exciting. and here I was patting myself on the back for living thru a bathroom reno! good luck and photos, please! donna
Very best luck on the addition. It can be hard to live in a house while work is being done!

That sounds exciting and the spaces you've planned add so much to your home. Mudrooms should be mandatory (I don't have one!) Just posted on the hole in our floor & the plans for the stair rail. Have a great weekend. Michele
can't wait to see! happy weekend 🙂
Wow! You will have your hands full, but it's so exciting at the same time, right? I love doing things around my house and I'd it more often if I could.
I'm also planning on staying indoors, w/ a a cozy fire and some cocoa. We're expecting some snow.
Have a blessed weekend.

Elizabeth,
It took me awhile to read your post, as I could not take my eyes off the black door with the brass knockers. Love, love, love. I look forward to seeing your new areas. Enjoy the weekend. XOXO.
Sounds exciting! We need to replace our front door and are currently waiting forever for Home Depot to get it to us! But that's about the only excitement in our home.
