There’s been a lot of buzz this week about the upcoming Rooms With A View 2011.
This year’s theme is “The Next Generation” with a tribute to Albert Hadley, the “Dean of American Design”. Mr. Hadley has contributed enormously to the American design aesthetic, most notably through his work at McMillen Inc. and his partnership with Sister Parish in their firm, Parish-Hadley Associates.
Part of this “next generation” is my friend, Sam Allen! As the youngest designer invited to participate, Sam has dreamed up a delicious cold weather escape with a nod to the Old Hollywood – Brentwood pool cabana. Enveloped in navy and white striped Ralph Lauren fabric and tricked out with all the amenities, I think someone might want to transport this to their Florida vacation home!

Given the weather here lately, I’d trade my view for a poolside cabana view anytime! Umbrella drink, anyone?
