I had the pleasure of meeting Sam this past summer and we’ve kept in touch. High energy, enthusiastic, driven and passionate about what he’s doing…..Sam is “going places”!! In fact, he’s on his way to Paris right now, for the week, hunting down treasures for clients.
Before he left, I asked Sam if we would share some quick tips for Hip Holiday decorating. Here’s what he had to say:
Fill a footed glass hurricane with magnolia branches and place on your mantle or in multiples down the center of your dining table.
Adorn either round or (better yet) square boxwood or magnolia wreaths with silk ribbon tied in a bow with long tails in chartreuse, red, hot pink or silver. (You can guess which I’d do!)
Tie a ball ornament with an 18″ ribbon on every other spindle of your staircase, so that the ornament hangs down. Solid colored or mercury glass ornaments look best!
Thanks for these hip ideas, Sam…and send us some pics of what you find on your treasure hunt at the flea markets in Paris.
What do you say, readers? Hip hip hooray for hip holidays?!
