Snow Day!
It finally snowed in New York….and by happening on a weekend, it was so relaxing. No school cancellations or delayed openings. No place you really had to be.
So, we grabbed our favorite sled and headed down the road to our neighborhood sledding hill.
Wrapping up the day with Sarabeth’s hot cocoa…..it doesn’t get any better!
Saturday snows are the best kind aren't they? I just returned from a trip on Saturday (no snow here, but lots and lots of rain), so I didn't have a very relaxing weekend. I spent the time doing laundry and playing catch up!
Best,
Susan
You and I really are like minded. I just did a post on snowy days and cocoa for next week. xx
Yes, it finally feels like winter. Our flexible flyer remains unused in the basement these days – but have fun memories of those sledding and hot cocoa days!!
Lucky you to have show. All we are getting is the rain!
Thank you fro sharing the snowy pictures, and have nice Monday, Elizabeth.

I have the fondest memories of playing in the snow as a child and coming inside to warm cocoa and cinnamon toast.
Just think of the memories you are making. I do think your boys would love a snow day any day!

We stayed cozy by the fire but it was just as much fun! 🙂
Wow! How lovely to wake up to snow. Haven't seen any since leaving the UK and living in Spain for the last 11 years. I must say I do miss it 😉 The best part of your weekend was definitely the hot chocolate 😉
We got a little bit of ice but I could've used at least a snow delay this morning! I guess teachers get more excited about it than parents 🙂
I love a good snow day on the weekends and we had one too on Saturday but looks like you received more snow. Nothing better then curled up in front of the fireplace with a good book!

Love snow days – we had one too! But today it is poring down rain – go figure?! Your photos E are gorgeous! Miss Molly like the snow too?

Looks like a very serene weekend! That hot cocoa sounds divine. Still in the upper 70s here in Houston!

Fun in the snow is always best with a hot chocolate ending

Sounds like a great snow day! we didn't get as much as you did this weekend, but enough to make us snuggle in, and the little ones to get outside and play, and yes, to finish it off with hot cocoa.
We too enjoyed the white covered outdoors with much delight. We took the kids sledding at a local country club where they have some good hills…and of course, finished the afternoon with hot chocolate! Lovely images my friend!
We only got a little bit of snow, you pics are so pretty and your little pup…so adorable!

I'm so jealous seeing all these blog posts about snow–we have yet to have any here in Richmond and I'm hoping for at least one good snowfall by spring!
It looks so beautiful! I wish I'd that sled, its fabulous! Would be great to have ride together with Ollie;) I don't think we'll get snow this winter. It still warm for the time of year, although we had a few cold nights. Very unlike Holland actually.
This must have been Molly's first snowfall – did she love it? We played outdoors and warmed our hands around hot cocoa, too!
xxoo
Isn't that just the perfect day, and I can't tell you how much I love your sled!!
How Beautiful! I'm so jealous! I wish it would snow here!
It snowed here, too, in MA, and I love it, too. It was gorgeous, but I forgot to take photos!

Nothing quite like the feeling of coming back into the warmth after playing in the snow! Sounds delightful! And your pup is too cute for words! Have a wonderful week, Elizabeth ~ xo

My kiddos are begging for a sled … which is especially hilarious because it was 60+ degrees today in Charlotte!
