Does your nest need a little feathering?
If you’re like me, your home is ever evolving. And whether you need to fluff it up with some fresh pillows, sass it up with some hip accessories, or completely furnish a room you’ve let languish….here is an amazing new resource. Nest Inspired Home. Providing classic and contemporary furnishings, art and gifts. New as well as vintage.
Opening in Rye, NY November of last year, Nest Inspired Home is owned by 3 talented women. One leans toward traditional. One toward contemporary. And one is more conservative overall. Together they have to agree on what comes into the store. They know if all of them like it, then it’s a winner.
Meet Bets Miller, Aly Drew and Wendy Williams.
I sat down to talk with Wendy, who is the store’s in-house designer. After living in various cities around the country, as well as time in London, she found herself renovating and decorating along the way and thus, naturally began a career in interior design.
Wendy showed me 3 of her favorite furniture pieces and 3 of her favorite accessories, all of which can add a little fun and sparkle to a room.
This marble top console would look amazing in an entry way.
Wendy loves this vintage chair she rescued from an estate sale and recovered in this stylish zebra print.
This mongolian lamb bench is comfortable and quite the conversation piece!
For instant color on your coffee table or a great hostess gift, Wendy loves these agate coasters.
Who doesn’t love bar carts these days? And, whooooo wouldn’t want these vintage owl glasses? Set of 6.
Finally, Juju hats from Africa are an inexpensive way to add color and texture to your wall.
Bets, Aly and Wendy know how to keep things exciting. Vignettes are always changing and as we near Spring, you can expect to see more color in the store. Most of us can visualize things better when we see them in “room settings”…and that’s exactly what the expansive space at Nest Inspired Home provides.
So, stop by to see these talented ladies or email them at 3chicks@nestinspiredhome.com if you see something you like and want to know more!!!
Spring’s almost here….time to get our nests in order!
Yay! You did a post on this fab store! I have stopped in twice and it is a wonderful source with great items, especially for those not working with a designer. I will and have sent friends in their direction. This is the kind of place where you will be guaranteed to find goodies!
Oh I love so much of what I see….but those agate coasters have my name on them! Thanks for sharing…wish I were closer to visit in person!
This birdie needs to spread her wings and land there soon with some art works that just maybe those fine ladies will want for their nest.
I even have a nest to bring to them! I would love to bring some things home to feather my nest from them.
Looks like a great shop and those ladies look like a terrific trio.
