Lush. Exotic. Vertical.
The current exhibit at the NY Botanical Garden is reaching new heights with the help of French botanist, Patrick Blanc.
The Orchid Show: Patrick Blanc’s Vertical Gardens is an exotic explosion of orchids that defy gravity. Seeing this floral artistry is high on my Spring agenda, as it will only be there until April 22nd.
And, don’t you just love Patrick’s green hair? With a do like that and talent like his, who needs a green thumb?!
Had to chuckle at the green hair! I missed the Boston flower show this year. I've gone in the past and it's so much fun! xo
Green hair with a green thumb = killer combination! Love the idea of growing UP! Brilliant. Thanks for sharing – enjoy this Tuesday. Jalon
Ooooh, how fun! My mother carried orchids as her wedding bouquet, so I grew up just loving these flowers. What a beautiful show!
I've been dying to get in to see the show!! Everyone says it is fabulous!!
Oh, I wish I could go… I was supposed to travel to NYC in April for work, but changes are afoot (more on that later) so I won't be making trip after all. At least I get to catch a glimpse here. Thanks Elizabeth! XO
Hi Elizabeth, I actually lived in Pleasantville and worked in Purchase for several years before my husband and I bought a house in Columbia County. Anyway, I love your blog and check in all the time! Keep up the great work!
Elizabeth I adore orchids of all kinds. His green hair is too fun!

Did a double take on his hair – and that alone would make me want to go see this flower show!

How can you not love the green hair – how fun is that?! This looks like a wonderful exhibit. What a sight to seem them going vertical!

Oh my goodness! I bet it is amazing! I'm guessing you were a fan of Campbell's nursery during your time in Charlotte? Unfortunately, I usually have a black enough thumb that my orchids don't even get accepted into the babysitting program!
