Friday Flowers: An Outing to Terrain

My friends in Westport, CT had been tweeting and buzzing about the new Terrain, which opened Mother’s Day weekend. Yesterday, I finally made the trek myself….little boys in tow..and it was all I had hoped it to be.

Terrain is a forward thinking concept in garden centers. It blends traditional plant materials, displayed in a fresh manner. Garden tools, furniture, gifts and a cafe all blend seamlessly together. There’s everything you need….and a whole lot that you’ll just want!

Both my boys loved it….so note to moms. Field Trip! Each of them selected their favorite item to show you. 
If you plan on dining at the cafe, definitely make a reservation. Otherwise, you will wait. 

Terrain is a garden lover’s paradise. If you’re close enough to go….you should. Otherwise, check out their amazing website.

  1. I want to take my twin sons now! They are 19 but I do think they would love it, especially that cafe. Both are home – then one leaves for Africa- now that is some new terrain to be excited about!

    This could be a dangerous place. I do know that I would be one happy lady there.

  14. One always wants a coffee or tea when shopping for plants and garden stuff, instead, there are those saussage stands at the entrance with greasy and not appetizing things…but what a great idea terrain is, love the pics of the food there(:
