What makes a gift really special? Sometimes it IS the gift. Sometimes it’s the packaging. Sometimes you get lucky and get both!
One way you can give with impact is to pick a person’s favorite color and incorporate several items in that color.
That’s what a group of friends did for me. Knowing that my favorite color is pink (I know…not a big secret!), they put together a basket with pink peonies, pink champagne, a book packaged in pink and a gift certificate so I can get my toes painted pink.
While all of the gifts thrilled me, this gift had such impact because it was all PINK.
So, the next time you’re scratching your head at what to give someone, pick their favorite color and package up a group of smaller things in their color.

What a gorgeous gift – agree that the packaging can be just as fun as what's in it and love how cleverly your friends pulled together this package of pink! It's funny, I don't really have a outright favorite color… I go through color phases. Right now, yellow is making me happy, such a fun, sunny color.

So glad I saw this because just this afternoon a friend of mine had us wrap a gift in all of her friend's favorite colors and for some reason it just really looked better to me than usual!
