School is closed for Columbus Day and the air is chill and crisp. I’m heading out for a “day of discovery” with my boys and hopefully will be able to share that with you on Wednesday if all goes well.
As we settle into autumn, I continue to discover new ideas for creating some inspired fall tablescapes and decor.

I've got one in school today and one out. Maddie and I are doing a girls day of shopping, lunch and Mani/pedis. She is so exctied! Have fun!
My day doesn't sound nearly as fun….SAT tutor, my son is training and later I have a meeting for a fundraiser we are involved in….maybe I can end the day on a high note and make a wonderful fall meal, its chilly and crisp…the perfect day for comfort foods!!

Sounds like a perfect way to spend Columbus Day. I hope you have fun with your boys. Love the table inspiration – I'm hosting our book club on Thursday and have been thinking about what to do with the table so appreciate beautiful fall ideas.
Not a day off here, but I'll try to bring a little discovery to it anyway – perhaps every day should be a discovery day!

That sounds wonderful Elizabeth. My "day off" is filled with errands and house cleaning.. I like the Pottery Barn lanterns (I think that's what they are?) You can use the any time of year.
