Big news! I have found my new favorite gift source and I have to share it with you!!! Anything personalized is one of my favorite gifts to give or to receive. So, I was over the moon when I received these samples from Houston-based company Ann Page. Take note, this is a company you’re going to want to know about!
Before I tell you more about this young, successful company and it’s owner, here are some details on the items I received. The notepads are a generous 8×8 and come wrapped as you see them.
PPT: I absolutely love your product line…it’s different than others that are also in your space. How did you develop your look?
Virginia: Thank you so much! I have basically grown the product line around products and colors I love. I am absolutely obsessed with orange and lucky for me, it has been an extremely hot color in the last couple of years. I think it is hard to sell something that you don’t love yourself, so for me, I develop things that I would want to buy.
PPT: Since we just wrapped up the big gift giving season, what were the most popular requests?
Virginia: Our notepads and paper placemats are our top sellers. Notepads have been our key thing since we started the company and because they retail for less than $20, including personalization, it is a perfect gift for a friend, neighbor or co-worker. We also wrap all of our notepads and placemats with coordinating raffia. People absolutely love getting an item with a bow on it.
PPT: Tell me about those adorable door hangers…I’ve seen a few on Pinterest, but not like yours.
Virginia: We are actually debuting our Metal Door Hangers at Market this January. We’ve put a couple of images up on our website, but the majority of our stores haven’t seen them in person yet. They are available in several die cut shapes (who doesn’t love a fun shape?) and they come in any of our patterns. The fact that they are heat transferred on and not a vinyl that can be peeled off makes them very attractive. We think they will be a big seller for us in 2013.
PPT: Obviously you love paper and personalization…tell us how that started.
Virginia: I have been a fan of anything personalized since I was a kid. I was born and raised in Macon, GA and grew up having most things I owned with my name on it. It is absolutely a Southern necessity! So, when I started thinking about businesses, I knew that it had to a be a personalization company of some sort. And it worked out well, since most people love to see anything with their name or monogram on it!
PPT: With Valentine’s Day, Easter and Mother’s Day in the coming months…what do you have up your sleeve?
Virginia: We’ve got lots of fun things designed for the holidays and I am very traditional so think pink and pastel. We love having options that are related to the holidays, but products that the stores can sell even after the holiday has come and gone. We want our retailers to be successful and we keep that in mind when designing.
Where can you find these amazing products? In over 225 shops around the country, as they decided not to continue their online site, because it competed with the retailers they want to be successful. Check their website for a store near you and their Facebook page for updates on new products!
Don’t you love receiving something with your name on it? You know it was meant for no one else but you!
UPDATE: Virginia noticed that some of you commented that you don’t have retailers near you who carry her line, so she wanted to let you know that she has a great online retailer, SisterBug Monograms, who carries her notepads. Hope that helps!!
