After a week of getting in touch with my inner “country girl”, I’m back! Visiting family, in the nation’s heartland (Kansas), is a great way to slow down and enjoy being outside with my favorite “cowboys”. I’ve loved horses since I was a child, so getting a ride in before breakfast was the highlight of my time at the ranch.
Enjoy a peek at my week…I was channeling the Pioneer Woman!
Now, if I can just get the Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton songs to stop running through my head!
These pictures are spectac and the boys have grown since I last saw them at camp pick up. Glad you had a nice last hoorah for summer.
Welcome home, Elizabeth!! It looks like you had a wonderful trip – it must be heaven there for your boys!
Enjoy your day! xoxo
Oh what fun!!! Welcome home. Looks like you had such a great time. My grandmother had a farm not too far from us, and we loved visiting and riding when I was growing up. I miss the opportunity to pull on those riding boots! How wonderful for your boys to have a ranch to visit. You look right at home, too! I hope your transition into the first days of September is a smooth one. I know I'm sure going to miss our lazy summer days! XOXO
Dear Elizabeth, Were you near Kansas City at all? The horses are such grand animals I have always loved!
A long weekend at the lake has made me ready for fall, yes sweater weather, the scents of cider and brilliant leaves….soon to come!

You've got the cutest cowboys ever!!
great photos and the cutest cowboys! Welcome back!
We knew you loved horses but didn't know you rode them… You'll have to re "brand" yourself as a cow girl! Looks like you all had a stompin' good time. Welcome back!

Looks like a great trip! My grandparents were from Kansas, love seeing the pictures.
I love country anything. The photos of the horses are gorgeous!
Of course this went straight to my heart…a country girl myself! Love, love, love these pictures! We have been to several dude ranches over the years and this just brought back many fond memories! Was this a ranch in your family? If so…I would so love that! I will NOT ride horses anymore but I sure do like watching them and other people riding them! As for Luke Bryan…I think everyone knows where I stand on that one! Just Play It Again!!! Love that boy!

"Pretty Pink tulips" rides again! Glad you had such a great time in Kansas, but there is "no place like home" and getting back into the routine of a new school year.
Love to you are all your cowboys.
Happy September.

Stunning photos and what a fun way to end the summer with plenty of fresh air. Your cowboys look really cute too!
Elizabeth this looks absolutely perfect! I have loved horses all my life and have ridden since I was 10! The picture of you is just beautiful on your gorgeous grey steed!
There is nothing better than being in the country at one with nature!

Welcome home!! What great shots and you look country chic in that saddle!!
I know I left a comment but I sware I don't see it….well you sure look mighty fine in that saddle and your cow hands are some sharp shooters themselves.
Welcome back home. Glad you were able to get away and "horse" around.
