With the change of seasons, it’s the perfect time to update your outdoor decor and landscaping. Since my plant material still looked really good, all I needed to do was pump it up a bit….with pumpkins!
In the pots, on the steps and in the window boxes…pumpkins galore.
And this year, the pumpkins have a nice little sheen. Thanks to vapor rub and a little hot sauce to keep the vermin away. Though I’ve heard hairspray works well, too.
Do you have a trick to keeping the pumpkins looking good until it’s time to carve them up?
Elizabeth,
You sure know how to "pump" it up!
Looking great. Happy Autumn.

Gorgeous!! You must enter my contest "fall fabulous"! These are too pretty to not be contenders! You always do such a beautiful job ushering in a new season Elizabeth, great job!
Your home is just lovely. I followed the link and I have to say, I liked the house before the shutters better. Still beautiful, elegant and full of wonderful surprises, that staircase. Alaina
Nice tip, I have my pumpkins inside because of the squirrels and chipmunks. I'm totally glossing them up with the Vics and hot sauce. Thanks.
So beautiful. I love the touch of shine…what a great tip and it looks gorgeous.
It looks great! I never heard of the vaporub trick!
Everything looks wonderful and that is the most amazing flower box ever. I haven't decorated mine yet since it's still too hot, but now I can't wait!
You are a master at curb appeal!
Gorgeous and oh so cozy.
I bet your boys love if!
Elizabeth, can you recommend an exterior white house paint color.
I have always loved your black and white color scheme.
Thanks so much!!!

When I read the name of this post, I though you were going to discuss a work out!! Lol:)
Such a great idea to put hot sauce on the pumpkins to keep them safe:) Everything looks festive Elizabeth. We will be doing a little decorating this weekend and I'm anxious to bring home a few big orange pumpkins. The orange looks so pretty nestled in the greens.
