We’re at the tail end of the week and it is football season…so let’s talk the art of the Tailgate! Whether you’re a fan of the game or not, it’s just a good excuse to have a party. A portable one at that.
According to Tailgater Monthly, the top 5 colleges for “tailgating” are:
In other words…they’ve turned tailgating into an art form!
The game of the weekend is supposed to be Alabama vs Texas A&M….but my heart will always cheer for my beloved Mustangs. We may not have a winning football team, but we sure know how to win at parties! Go Ponies!
Are you ready for some football?! I hope this helped get you in the mood!
Wishing you a winning weekend no matter what or who you’re cheering for!

Wow this could make a football out of anyone! Such cute ideas….grew up with a football obsessed dad and grandfather and now that my son plays, I am getting a little more interested…..I have to admit there are few things as exciting as being at a really big name football game, the energy is palatable! And I love that the game involves good food:)
Enjoy your Friday Elizabeth!
E- I'll be watching "the" big game and wishing I had one or two of those green field cookies! Fun post!/E
Hi Elizabeth…Tailgates are so much fun, aren't they? When I was in college we tailgated for football but the big event was for the steeplechase race every fall and spring. Everyone brought out their best china and silver.
Have a wonderful weekend! xoxo
For us, it's High School football that's the draw. I'm definitely checking out some of those cupcake toppers etc for the team!
Elizabeth, we live very close to University of Washington's Husky stadium (go dogs!) so if it's a home game sometimes we feel like we are in the middle of a giant tailgate, like it or not. (Here, the tailgating is as likely to take place on a boat as the stadium is right on Lake Washington and many Husky fans boat to the game). I'm with you, any excuse for a party and to decorate, so even if Mr. H is more the football fan then I am, I'm all in for a good tailgate! Happy weekend! XOXO
Food always tastes better at a tailgate too!!
Have a great weekend E!

Elizabeth I love anything that involves cute food! These are great ideas and frankly yummy looking snacks!
Sounds like the perfect tailgate party–remember to invite me! Love the sandwich wrappers-definitely have to check those out. When are we having lunch??
Well, I am an Ole Miss fan and was in Austin for the weekend so I am thinking that was the game of the week!! Especially since we won!! However, stay tuned as I will promise tailgating glory from The Grove in October! Love your blog!
