Welcome to November!
While we all begin to focus on all that we are thankful for, you may also be thinking about the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday and how to dress your table. I love the rich colors and centerpiece created by the amazing Carolyne Roehm for her table last year.
The centerpiece is primarily edible and centers around the pineapple, which is the symbol for hospitality. Just a couple of pheasants tucked in with pumpkins, walnuts, kumquats, artichokes, pears and grapes. Not a flower in sight. I love it! And, though I won’t be hosting this year, I think I’ll tuck these images away for the next time I do.
How do you decorate your Thanksgiving table? Do you repeat traditions or change it up each year?
I find myself changing it up and learning to plan ahead and try new things. What an incredibly beautiful table Carolyne Roehm sets~
Thanks for sharing and wishing you a wonderful November 1st!

Such gorgeous pictues…am a big fan of her work too, everything she does in done in such great taste and so elegant!
We will be at my sisters beach house this year, started the tradition last year and we had such a great time, it was still work but not with the expectations that go with doing it at "home" not as much pressure, besides getting to go on a long walk on that gorgeous beach after we stuffed ourselves was a perk:)
But there is nothing like a formally beautifully set holiday table!
I love the rich cranberry color she used. I host every year and use my blue willow china since it's the only set that will accommodate everyone. I try to switch up the centerpieces and tablecloths despite having to use blue and white china every year to make it a bit different.
How can one person be so talented?! Love her tablescapes.
Thanks for sharing, Elizabeth.

This is such a pretty table – I love the idea of an edible centerpiece. So simple, but it looks so gorgeous. This is the first Thanksgiving we won't be celebrating in our family home, so I'm feeling a little at sea about the holidays this year. We're taking Mom & Dad to our club for an early Thanksgiving feast, and then will join friends for their dinner later in the day – I'm just thankful we have so many people we love to share the day with.
Have a lovely weekend, Elizabeth! XO
Gorgeous inspiration Elizabeth!!!
She is something else, that woman!!!!

Beautiful! I love her tables and her style. My sister hosts, and she sets a pretty plain table. I always find myself wanting to do something but she'd likely have a canary if I did. Oh well – there's always Christmas!
Mostly tradition plus a bit of change every year!
Love the table, but I'd choose the chair not facing the artwork on the wall during dinner…

Gorgeous inspiration for sure! Mom and I haven't decided who is hosting it this year…but my mind has long been filled with ideas as we are selling gorgeous centerpieces, etc for the table as well as just coffee table decorations at my shop! Loved this post! Love all of Carolyne's designs…you don't get any better than that! Have a wonderful weekend!
I am hosting Thanksgiving this year and want to create a gorgeous table…this was perfect inspiration.
Have a lovely weekend, Elizabeth!! xoxo
Love the presentation of Freshness! the table with edible fruit is a hit with me and i will try this out and I also love silver and cranberry. Looks like my theme is done now to plan all the food.
