Happy Friday!!! Do you have holiday parties to attend this weekend? Company coming for Christmas? Starting to panic that you don’t have your holiday cards in the mail yet?
Well, I have to answer yes to all 3. And the panic. is. setting. in! I haven’t decided what to wear to the party…seriously. And, it doesn’t help that 4-6 inches of snow is predicted. Do you wear snow boots with a long dress? I’ll let you know! I have company arriving for a week on the 20th…gotta think about menus. And, my cards, which I’ll now confess were ordered in September are sitting on my dining room table.
So, the gift guides I had hoped to pull together for you…haven’t happened. So, in lieu of adding yet one more thing to my Santa-size “to do” list, I’m sharing some of my favorite links this week.
For company-worthy eggnog hot chocolate, go here.
Still have a few gifts to buy? The stylish gals at Rue have got a gift guide for everyone on your list. Go here!

Stay warm, stay calm and stay merry! (That was for me as much as it was for you!)
It's a demanding yet fun time but I do feel much better having posted the cards yesterday! The colurful tree is absolutely fabulous!

Keep calm and party on, Elizabeth!!! I'm right there with you – hosting a party today, going to a bash tomorrow and the cards…I'm making mine and it is sloooow going. (I always think I'm going to get started on them in the fall, it never happens.) Thankfully we don't have any snow in the forecast. Your pretty, festive post is making me happy though, and I'm just going to breath deep and put one foot in front of the other.
I'm sure that you can pull of snow boots and a dress and look chic! Good luck! XOXO
Oh I am SO with you – so far behind this year but hopefully your helpful links will do the trick!!
Yes to all three! Still waiting for my holiday cards to even arrive much less get them addressed and stamped….but my decorations are almost done, still tweaking so this is early for me. I do have houseguests coming but not until Dec. 21st…..so still a week to prep!
I look forward to every MWF and your posts! Thank you! Enjoy the remainder of the holiday season.
Hi Elizabeth,
It sounds like almost everyone is in the same boat! Interesting, though that everything usually does get done in time!

This post rings all too true with me…although my cards just got ordered and I still don't have my tree! It all gets done eventually!
Have a wonderful (and hopefully not too snowy) weekend! xoxo
Yes – the panic has definitely set in for us as well. We have no decorations up, snow is coming and a ski weekend planned for next weekend so all preparations for a merry Christmas must happen this weekend. And we would totally wear snow boots with a long skirt! 🙂 Have fun and stay safe, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth,
This time of year is such a busy time for me with artwork commissioned that I feel a bit like the shoemaker with no shoes….but this week, things are looking up to take time and start getting my own home in order….cards to send, tree to get and decorate, garland to hang…..baking cookies today.
Love all your gracious gifts suggestions.

Thanks for sharing our holiday decorations! You'll need to stop by after the new year — big changes in the store are happening over the holidays! Merry Christmas! xoxo, Kelsey
