This is your year. I just feel it. Whatever you’ve been wanting to pursue, but have put off; whatever new healthy habit you’ve been wanting to start, but haven’t; whatever trip you’ve been dreaming of, but haven’t planned. The time is now.
January is the perfect month to make changes, explore something new or expand your horizons. Even one small change or adjustment can set you on a more positive path.
Start each day with a glass of warm water and lemon. It’s the best way to wake up your body. I have it before my morning coffee.
Take a class, like this calligraphy workshop taught by Texan Lauren Essl and hosted by DesignLoveFest. I took calligraphy as a child and I really want to dust off my skills!
Plan a trip. Half of the fun is in the planning and anticipation. We’re hoping to visit Italy this summer and I’m already dreaming of the architecture, the fashion and the gelato!
Whatever your heart desires….go for it! This is YOUR year!

What a wonderful outlook for 2014. Yes,I too always look to the new year with renewed vigor and vitality. Not sure with my handwriting I'm ever a candidate for learning calligraphy, but I so love seeing the beautiful writing!
I like how you think….agree think 2014 is going to be a great year. I look forward to achieving and checking off some things on my own bucket list. Love lemon with water but need to make it a regular habit and planning a trip….LOVE to do that! Have a great weekend.
Elizabeth, I love your positive outlook and encouragement. I think you're right, it's going to be an amazing year! Last year my dreams slowed down a bit – although I learned so much – now I am ready to rev up and make things happen! I feel very lucky that I get to start the year with a trip to Paris – with that kind of beginning 2014 can't help but be beautiful.
I love your idea for classes and healthy living and am so excited for your Italy trip!

I love it all! I did a lot of calligraphy when I was younger, and I got pretty good at it. But I gave it up after my mother had me do all 300 of my sister's wedding invites … sigh … I really want to start again. And I want to start painting again, as well. Thanks for the inspiration, and all the beautiful things you share with us!
Great ways to start the new year off right Elizabeth .. including the lemon water;) Italy is on our bucket list. I'd love to stay in a Villa for a few weeks. Calligraphy is so pretty. It's unfortunate that the trend is more printing and less hand writing.. sign of the times I guess.
