TGIF!!! It’s been a busy one, with the end of school for my boys and co-hosting a luncheon for my garden club. Months in the making, I had envisioned this party outside, in my friend’s gorgeous back yard. But, it rained. And rained. And rained. Until it was over.
But, we had flowers!!! When I arrived to set up, my friend had added fresh blooms to this simple grapevine wreath and it was a beautiful way to tie together our yellow and white theme.
Luckily, she has a wrap around porch, so we were able to still set up outside.
I thought these centerpieces were darling….boxwood “topiaries” with skewers affixed with lemon slices. Easy peasy! Smelled and looked divine.
Just a few “fancy” flower ideas to share with you for your next soiree!
Wow gorgeous! Its all in the details and you nailed it Elizabeth.
Love the idea of a wrap around porch on a rainy day…so perfect and the boxwoods are darling. The cupcakes are almost too pretty to eat. Almost, but I think I could manage:)
Enjoy your weekend!!
Lovely details Elizabeth, the cupcakes are beautiful and I always adore boxwoods!

Beautiful, Elizabeth! The centerpieces are so clever and pretty and who could say no to those flowery cupcakes. I'm sorry to hear it rained and rained on your fun, but you made it bright and cheery just the same with your lovely details and fancy flowers.
Hope you get to breath a little this weekend! XOXO
Hi Elizabeth, Those Whole Foods cupcakes are delicious (I can easily eat several;)and the addition of the flower is so pretty. Our Whole Foods carries the edible flowers in the herb section. Did you check there? Sorry to hear about the rain but it's just a minor detail and I'm sure you all had lots of fun regardless. Enjoy your weekend! xxL
So pretty, Elizabeth! I adore the wreath and centerpieces, and the cupcakes are beautiful!
Happy Friday,

Oh my everything is so gorgeous that I'm sure you didn't even notice the rain! That wreath is amazing, Stephanie is beyond talented. I just love the cupcakes on the monogrammed tray. CFL was one of my favorite people ever

And if you can't get your hands on fresh flowers, faux will do! So sorry to hear that it rained but we know the luncheon was a great success… You always do things so beautifully, Elizabeth! Here's to sunny skies this weekend.

So happy the rain didn't ruin your day! Your decorations are so imaginative – I love the lemons in the boxwoods (and their planters). The edible petals on the cupcakes were also a genius idea. Have a fabulous weekend, Elizabeth! xoxo
love your attention to detail!

Another great touch was the striped napkins! The choice of yellow linens was a good insurance policy against the chance of rain. Who is your linen source?
You just always have the BEST ideas, Elizabeth. Love the centerpieces – fresh, fun and fragrant and the cupcakes are almost too beautiful to eat. I saved the source for the edible flowers…gorgeous!
