What is it about Fridays that make them one of the happiest days of the week?! I don’t even have a traditional job, but I love the feeling of a Friday. Work nearly done. Almost time for fun. Family time. Friend time. Together time.
One of my favorite things about having blog friends all around the country is the chance to “see” what’s happening/blooming/of interest in a different geographical area. So, I thought it might be fun for some of you to see what things look like here. These are shots I took this week at my favorite local nursery, McArdles, in Greenwich, a four generation, family owned business.

Beautiful, Elizabeth. I love all the brilliant fall colors. Those yellow mums are amazing! I love fall and I love Fridays – even though sometimes I think that I work harder over the weekend than during the week. I think our brains are just programed to love Fridays after all those years in school and desk jobs!

I'm not a big 'love fall' kind of person, maybe because it makes me sad to put the garden to bed for the winter. But I have to admit that the combination of kale,ivy and fall flowers gets me through the transition.
Elizabeth, the velvet pumpkins are out and now it is time for some gorgeous mums! I love that really deep rich red color a lot and am thinking that instead of yellow this year!
