How was your weekend? Ours was unusually fun! We’re just back from a quick trip to Dallas for the Cattle Baron’s Ball.
This was the 41st year of this groundbreaking event…the single largest one night fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, which raised $4 million this year.
Conceived in 1974, this event is historically held at a local ranch, outdoors, under tents and has a big name country music headliner. Names like: Blake Shelton, Vince Gill, Tricia Yearwood and many more. It is one of the hottest events of the year, with one small problem. It rained almost every year. So, this year, the event was moved indoors to Gilley’s Dallas. A brilliant move, I think.
Grant and I were proud to support this amazing cause & support one of my dearest friends who was on the committee of 100 women that make this event happen.
Loved this ferris wheel at the event…how fun would it be to have one of these at your next soiree?!
After a warm up band and live auction it was time for Kenny Chesney to take the stage. And boy, he delivered!!!
The bonus was spending an evening with longtime friends, dancing the night away for a good cause. And, no….it didn’t rain!
