With Fall in full swing and apples in abundance, I am craving the smell (and taste) of a hot apple crisp in the oven! I’m not gluten free, but I know many of you are, so this recipe, by Valerie Rice, of Eat Drink Garden, is one that everyone can enjoy!
Mmmmmmmm…..I can practically smell the apples and cinnamon now! Enjoy your weekend, whatever your comfort is!

Elizabeth,
Mmmmm, That looks delish! My Mom taught me how to make the best whole baked apples and pears which are my go to dessert once the temps drop. I love using whole fruits whenever possible!

This looks yummy, Elizabeth and perfect for the welcome nip in the air!! Enjoy your weekend ~
Elizabeth, I think I can smell it from here! Apples and spices just taste like fall. One of my girlfriends is gluten free, so I'm always on the lookout for new treats for when she comes by. This looks like a good one.
Hope you have a fantastic fall weekend! XOXO
yummy! can't wait to try this. i just discovered another gluten free treat i love. it is Chocolate Crinkle by Moondance. So yummy chocolate cookies i got at Whole Foods. I don't think I have a gluten intolerance but for some reason I like gluten free foods. Happy Friday!

I was planning on making Apple Crisp today. I found my all time favorite–Grimes Golden Apples at our Farmers Market yesterday. Then I read your blog–Always inspiring. Tried your recipe–FANTASTIC. I prepared in the disposable potpie pans and took two serving to a my elderly friends and gave one to a neighbor who dropped in to discuss some association business. The house smells divine and my dessert is a good alternative to my old Apple Crisp Recipe. Thank you for introducing me to an up-dated take on an old favorite.
Elizabeth I always make a variation of this several times in the Autumn and it is always a hit! Thank you for sharing this yummy recipe!
Have a wonderful weekend!
xoxo,
Karena
