The holiday issue will be available on Nov 8th, so if you’re looking for inspiration in that category, you might just need to gift yourself. If nothing else, what a great stocking stuffer! Just print out one of his covers and tie it up with a string.
As we all begin to think about what to give for the upcoming holidays, gifting seems to be going in a new direction. Gift cards are commonplace. We can order via Amazon Prime and have something arrive, wrapped in 2 days. Boxes of carefully edited items arrive via subscription services. I’ll always enjoy giving something personalized or customized, but that does seem old school these days.
Something that seems old school (based on the content) but is definitely current (based on it’s delivery) are digital magazines. And, in that category, I’ve long admired Sweet Paul and his folksy approach. The photographs and the inspiration are only the level that a professional food and prop stylist can provide, and it becomes aspirational. I’ve signed myself up for a year’s worth of issues and at $9.99 it occurred to me that this is a great gift idea for the aspiring DIY cook and crafter in your circle.
