Just the WORDS giftwrap and tree made my heart rate speed up….I am suddenly feeling the pressure, and its only Dec.3rd! I think the blogworld can be intimidating because so many are DONE! I am just getting started (and slowly at that) but I am juggling many things so doing the best I can…..it WILL get done!
I am also better at recognizing when I need a self imposed time out to just chill or do something for me….I dont' want the stress of the season dampening the beauty of this wonderful holiday!

The pressure of the holi-daze can certainly cause a little bit of anxiety to say the least! However when we remember the real reason for the season, we realize that "our favorite" things are not really things at all.
It's finding joy in our lists and gratitude in our hearts for all our blessings.
My Father loved to say, "Christmas should be more than just one day" a year.
It's true. Let's let it live in our hearts and feel the spirit carry us to a place of pleasure rather than panic.

I'm feeling a bit like you – the holidays just crept up on me with the short season this year and our party last weekend. The tree is up, but there are about 5 ornaments on it (the rest are in boxes all over the living room). The wreaths and greens are still in their shipping boxes on the front porch where UPS left them. Cards are still in the box from the printer. (Boxes seem to be a theme).
I think the hot coco may be a ways off, but I'm going to try to just enjoy the merriness of getting there!
