The holidays aren’t over until the strike of midnight on New Year’s Eve, so I’ve been savoring lots of relaxing family time. In lieu of a get away, we are making the most of a stay-cation, which is pretty fun when you live 4o minutes from New York City, less than 2 hours from ski slopes (ok….bunny slopes) and no schedule to follow. We’ve been to Broadway, spent countless hours reading in front of the fire, saw Unbroken and plan to ice skate at Rockefeller Center and see the Matisse exhibit.
I’ve found it hard to spend time at my computer, but am looking forward to hitting the ground running in 2015! A new one word resolution and a calendar full of posts on stylish living, gracious giving and entertaining with ease.
Let me leave you with a few of my favorite items (these great cocktail napkins and drink stirrers) from Laura Hooper Calligraphy that will work any time of the year, but especially perfect for this coming Wednesday night as we ring out 2014 and ring in a new year!
How are you ringing in the new year? Quietly at home or out with the masses?
Lovely bits and pieces, I don't think I'll be doing anything stylish, though champagne will be involved!
great decorations! the drink stirrers are so cute.

The NYC area is perfect for a staycation. What did you see on Broadway? I took my boys to the Matisse exhibit in October. Enjoy!
Looks like a fabulous time! Have a great New Year hope to see you soon, xo K
