Who really loves Valentine’s Day? Is it the guys out there? I don’t think so. Why not indulge your love of entertaining for your favorite group of girlfriends. They’re the ones who will appreciate all the hearts and sparkles! For more details, go here.
And, speaking of entertaining, I am over-the-moon to be featured this week on a2btable (formerly Set Sip Serve).
Created by friends, Annie and Benton, both busy moms, wives and frequent entertainers, they wanted a place where you could find everything you need for hosting an amazing party – whether it’s a gathering for the crayon-coloring set or a formal dinner party. These ladies have gathered a coterie of the best Style Experts, chefs and tastemakers in home entertaining.
They are featuring one of my springtime dinner parties along with my 5 entertaining essentials and my one big tip for enjoying a party as much as your guests! You can read all about them here!
How are you celebrating this weekend? Heart shaped pancakes for breakfast? Fireside dinner for two? Chocolate molten heart cakes?
Even if it’s just sprinkling conversation hearts on the table for a family dinner….entertain with heart! It matters to those you love!

laughing, because I am celebrating v-day with a double header hockey game (one for my 10 year old and one for my 8 year old). I have a feeling my daughter is going to HATE valentine's day this year 🙁
Hi will go check out your post….we have a tradition of going out with one of our best friends every Valentines day, they are a great couple and it's always so much fun to see them.
Hope whatever you are up to is fun and looks like it might be a snowy Valentines Day…..ugh! So who knows maybe it will end up being that fireside dinner for two:)
Such a pretty table! Looks like spring came to dinner. I'll be checking out your post.
Love the Galentine's party idea! I'm having Valentine's book club at our house on Thursday night and it will be a bit like this – definitely more glitter and hearts than book discussion 😉
Hope you have a love-filled weekend. Our tradition is a night in with pizza and good wine and then a dinner at a friend's home.
Here's to hearts and parties and pretty tables! Happy Wednesday, Elizabeth! XOXO
I love the idea of Gal-entine's Day! I think because the "boys" outnumbered the "girls" in my house, we have never done a lot for Valentine's Day. My husband is a sweetheart and is an "every day should be celebrated" kind of guy, so it is just another day for us.
I really enjoyed seeing your table setting and entertaining tips on AtoB Table – you really are the hostess with the mostess! Your tip about hiring someone is spot on – the only way to entertain!
As soon as we are released from the "deep freeze", let's set up a time for coffee or lunch so we can catch up. Have a beautiful day, sweet Elizabeth! xoxo
What an adorable idea!! Love it! Beautiful flowers and colors too!!
I will be celebrating a little early with a trip to the Napa Valley to try out a new restaurant and enjoy the beautiful scenery with my love,
Kathysue
What a fun idea! I will be celebrating with my husband, as it is also the day we became engaged.

GORGEOUS flowers Elizabeth! Wanted to stop by…it's been too long XO Amy
I do believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What does it really means to us? It only explains that true beauty is not in our physical aspects but in our inner aspects. In short, attitude or character because what you have shown is what people think of you. Beauty comes out naturally. Visit my site #triciajoy for some terrific offer that I am sure you can't refuse. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful article. Have a good day!

Elizabeth,
I used to host an annual valentine's lunch and make your own valentine…..then it seemed our lives went into hyper drive with our kids!
Your table is so full of love. Those flowers, the mercury hurricanes and that pink!

How pretty and what a great idea Elizabeth.
My husband and I have never celebrated Valentine's Day ….. it is really meant to be for unrequited love and ours is requited !!!! That sounds rather un romantic but, he does give me flowers on a regular basis throughout the year !!
Happy Valentines Day !! XXXX
What a beautiful table you set!! I love the flowers, the flatware and the pretty dishes. How funny that we both blogged about tablescapes this week. And I loved your red room post too. I did a red and pink one earlier this week as well. Great minds think alike! I also love the idea of a girls valentine's…I agree…they are the ones who would appreciate all the details. I need to click over to that party and see more photos.
Have an amazing weekend!
