Wash day. Actually, that’s most days for me. And, I’m guessing that’s true for you, too.
One of the most important rooms I wanted to improve during our renovation was my laundry room. I wanted it to be a pleasant space in which to actually DO the laundry, but I also wanted it to serve as an area for wrapping gifts and working on projects.
Behind me is a sink, more counter space and more storage. Just good, basic space.
All of my laundry baskets and my cute little laundry sign are from Home Goods. I like to stop by when I’m in the neighborhood and just see what they have. And, although I use regular detergent for some things, I really enjoy the smell of the Signature Detergent by The Laundress and using Le Blanc linen spray in Portfolio to iron my pillowcases.
Sometimes in life it’s the little things that bring us pleasure. Ironed pillowcases is one of those things for me!
Do you loathe or love doing laundry?
That is one beautiful laundry room! I love the idea of making it multi functional and being able to use it for gift wrapping station too…smart.
Homegoods is such a fun place to pick up all those fun little odds and ends. You do Homegoods proud:)
Stay warm and snuggly.
I also have a brand new laundry room. It is the smartest thing I have ever done. I had my contractor lift the washer and dryer, so that it is raised to my height. Laundress products are awesome!
I don't mind doing laundry, it's the folding and putting away I don't like. Your room is so pretty. I was just thinking about painting my room and sprucing it up a bit
You've inspired me!
Elizabeth,
My Mother had a few quotes;
1. "Everything will come out in the wash"
2. "Everything will press itself out in the ironing"
Those two quotes certainly resonate for me when I do the laundry.
Love your snappy room and that sign says just the right things….it's the repeat part that speaks to me.
Some things are never done!

Elizabeth…I would do a lot more wash if I had your laundry room! Stay warm.
Such a great laundry room – would make life's daily chores sooo much better. Ours is a bit of a disaster, actually. It's in our basement, which is finished, but partially open floor plan and once served as the offices as my husband's start up. Now it's the place where we put all the stuff. It's a mess. Would love to give the whole thing a makeover starting with the laundry and do a spot for gift wrapping and storage for my business. Now that would be dreamy.
Hope you are having a great week, Elizabeth – stay warm! XOXO
So needing to update my laundry room – beautiful inspiration for me! Happy Wednesday!!

Ahhh, Elizabeth…even your laundry room is chic! Just perfect!! Have a wonderful weekend, my dear! xoxo
I enjoy the Laundress products also! I was so excited when I found some at our local Container Store! Great post!
