Artist Spotlight: Stephanie Wheeler

Would you believe it snowed AGAIN in New York this past weekend? Nothing is blooming except some brave little crocus. Without nature providing the color yet, I am drawn to art that blooms with color.

Atlanta fine artist, Stephanie Wheeler has a way with color. Her art is hard to define….somewhere between impressionist and abstract.

“I paint color relationships, using them to create depth on a flat surface, which then leads to one of the most interesting aspects of creating a work of art…the ability to convey a mood or emotion through the use of color.”

And, what beautiful colors they are! I know Stephanie’s art has the affect of lifting my mood, just by experiencing her use of subjects and color.
