I can almost set my calendar by the tulips.
Usually the 2nd week of May. It may seem ridiculous to get so excited about something like a bunch of tulips, but I do. Planted in November, there is the wait, the anticipation, the hope for Spring and the knowledge that they will dot our landscape for a scant few weeks. And, I’m just as eager as I was the first year we started planting them.
This was a beautiful Mother’s Day weekend and most notably because my own mother was able to spend the weekend with us. The tulips were just the icing on the cake.
What a wonderful colour to celebrate Mother's Day – they are gorgeous!
Your home is beautiful. Those tulips are so pretty. You must have planted 500 bulbs!
Everything is lovely. I live in Florida and we just don't have tulips!
So beautiful Elizabeth! I am so thrilled to have spent time with you in May. Even before the tulips, your gardens were amazing. Glad your Mother's Day weekend was extra special! Melissa
Your gardens are beautiful. Such eye candy.
Beautiful, Elizabeth. I'm so happy that your lovely tulips popped up in time for Mother's Day! Thank you for letting us enjoy them, too. Would love to see them in person someday. We've said goodbye to tulips, but our David Austen roses started blooming in earnest over the weekend, the delphiniums have popped out and the show-stealing rose arch is going nuts! Icing on the cake.
Hope you had the most wonderful Mother's Day weekend and visit with your mother. XOXO
Stunning!
Happy Mothers Day Elizabeth!
Beautiful, they do herald the first signs of sprig, don't they? Yard looks beautiful, thank you for sharing.
So beautiful and your lawn is so green and lush! Sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
Dear Elizabeth your tulips are so beautifully bountiful and that of part of what makes your spring garden so delightful!! I hope Mother's Day was wonderful for you!
